Those are the words that come to mind when you think of our November Athlete of the Month. Kei joined the gym last year & hasn’t looked back since. If you’re interested in getting to know someone who has experienced a wide variety of life experiences, I’d recommend having a conversation with Kei! 1) What was a misconception you had about CrossFit?
I initially thought CrossFit was solely about lifting heavy weights without emphasizing proper form.
2) What motivates you?
I aim to maintain good health and build better habits around exercise for as long as possible.
3) What are your training goals?
My goals are to squat twice my body weight, deadlift 2.5 times my body weight, and bench 1.5 times my body weight.
4) What advice would you give someone that’s thinking about joining CrossFit?
Focus on exercises and movements that you can improve on. Find ways to scale these exercises and gradually build up over time.
5) How has CrossFit changed your life outside of the gym?
CrossFit provides me greater motivation to tackle challenging tasks in daily life as well as larger goals.
6) What’s your favorite part about the community here?
CFRR a super supportive group where members are excited to celebrate each other’s victories.
