To us, a REBORN athlete embodies and portrays what the entire CFRR coaching team believes in as a whole. This is someone that the entire community as a whole looks up to. Not in the way you might be thinking. Being RX and having the fastest “Fran” time are just numbers. To us being truly REBORN is taking what your life was, and literally changing it to what you have always hoped it would be. Physically, Mentally, and Emotionally you are a new person. You see, once you are truly REBORN, the fear of going back to who you once were just doesn’t haunt you like it used to. The new you feels too good, and its just no longer worth it to be afraid of your previous lifestyle. Being in this place takes years of time and consistency. Tons of mistakes and downfalls. Moments where you have your head in your hands and just think you can’t make it, but with full TRUST and FAITH in what #CFRR believes, YOU OVERCOME. That is to us what it means to be #REBORN.

In August 2015, I was looking to make a change. I finally had enough with the excuses and lack of consistency.  I had been searching all around for a new fitness program to try out as I had continuously jumped around from gyms, group classes/boot camps, etc. I couldn’t seem to find anything that kept my interest for long and/or held me accountable. One day, as I was searching online for surrounding gyms, CFRR popped up in my results. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Landon and Adrien year’s back, when the box first opened. I tried it out for a month but honestly, fitness was just not on my priority list at that time (oops!), and so I didn’t stick with it.  I work about a mile away, so there was really no excuse for me to not drop by and check it out again.

As I walked into the front office, I was immediately greeted with open arms. Landon and Adrien both remembered me and treated me as is if we old friends catching up. Once I was fully informed of the process and what to expect in each class, I was excited to try it out again.

I was definitely intimidated but I knew the path I was about to start on was the right one for me.

I was immediately hooked. The classes were challenging but scalable, the community were both welcoming and motivating. I constantly witnessed the knowledge from each coach and the desire they had to assist me in reaching every goal I set. I grew up playing sports my entire life so working out was nothing new to me. However, the biggest thing I’ve learned so far is how to properly fuel my body.

My diet has been a game changer these past 6 months and I give all credit to CFRR. If it wasn’t for the proper guidance and the variety of meal ideas from the entire community, I wouldn’t have been introduced nor open to trying to new foods. To me, working out is the easiest part of a healthy lifestyle, but obviously I can’t perform well if my food intake is trash. It took me a while to grasp that idea but thankfully, it finally hit home!

Looking back at my journey so far, I can’t help but be proud of myself. I’ve made great progress since day one. It definitely has not been easy, but I can see and feel the hard work and dedication pay off. I owe it all to the coaches and fellow members. I look forward to many more PR’s in my future and setting new goals to conquer!
