1) What is your biggest motivation?

To be the best version of myself mentally & physically.

2) Your favorite quote or words to live by?

Eat well, travel often.

3) What is your current training goals/PRs?

Most importantly, to always stay consistent! But also, handstand push-ups, pull-ups & hit a 300 lb deadlift max. 🙂

4) Take us back to your first day of CrossFit… How did you feel? How do you compare it to workouts today?

I’ve played sports all my life & been a member of different gyms for years. However; I realized quickly that CrossFit was on a whole different level. Honestly, it was intimidating. But understanding that I had a huge support system from the coaches & other members was incredible. I’ve learned that scaling is always an option and to trust the process. Results will follow.

5) What advice do you have for new athletes just starting out in CrossFit?

First, figure out your goals. Then, find a nutrition plan and stick to it, stay consistent, & know when to push your limits or scale the workouts when the movements aren’t there.

6) Tell us about a moment you felt most proud of yourself during a workout?

Recently, I was in the mirror at home practicing Rx pistols and decided to give it a try that day and ended up being able to do the whole WOD Rx! Knowing the intensity of that movement and realizing I was able to obtain it was exhilarating

7) What are your hobbies, interests and/or talents outside of CrossFit?

Traveling, fishing, & spending time with family and friends.

8) What’s your favorite part of CrossFit Round Rock?

The community! Having constant support & motivation from the coaches and CrossFit family makes the workouts fun and easier to get up and go to the gym every day.

9) If you could create a WOD and name it for yourself, what would it be?

Partners in Crime.

Partner WOD’s are my favorite and anytime I can have someone else do half my workout, it’s a plus. 😉

10) How has your diet changed since starting CrossFit (if it has), and what foods do you rely on most?

Nutrition has ALWAYS been my biggest struggle. Over the past year, I have come to realize what works for one person, doesn’t always work for another. So I try to keep my carbs in the 20% range & consume fruits & vegetables vs. starchy rice & potatoes. We also travel a lot and making better decisions when eating out and removing the beer has made a huge difference.
